Mold, Redecorating, & Iraq

Kroger, you have been very good to me for the past 3 years, giving me great prices on groceries at a very convent location to school. Campbell's, you have been very good to my family and I for as long as I can remember. However, tonight I was going to make dinner, really excited about trying out a new recipe. The recipe called for one can of chicken broth, so I bought one can of Campbell's chicken broth at Kroger for $1.59. Got home, opened it up, poured it into the pan, while reading the instructions, not paying attention, turns out, the broth was molded. I couldn't find anyone on campus who had any more chicken broth, so a friend brought me another Campbell's can from Kroger. I opened it up, it too was molded. One, I understand. But two, come on now, that's not okay.

The redecoration of dad's new house is coming slowly but surely. I've picked out my bedroom wall color, along with the bedroom suit I want (EDLAND @ Ikea). Dad and I are working on getting a living room wall color. Hopefully soon, we'll be getting new windows and putting down beautiful cherry hardwood floors. As well as going back to Ikea and picking up the bathroom vanity and mirror, dad's leather chair, my bedroom suit, and linens.

I talked to my brother, Travis, the other day on skype. He's all settled in his room at the base in Kuwait. Since he's moved up to sergeant, he's got his own room and has 20 to 40 people under him he's in charge of. He's really missing his wife and 5 month old his, Jonathan. He's starting to take interest in billiards, while over there. He's become good friends with the chaplain, playing guitar and piano together. They even had a Garth Brooks competition, Travis won.

New semester, calls for new goals and ideas:
  1. To be in bed by 12 am. If I'm in bed by 12, that'll give me 7 hours of sleep every night.
  2. To be more intensional with family and friends. I tend not to call people that I see everyday.
  3. Since my major is marketing and I'm a junior, I probably shouldn't change my major. But I think I may want to eventually go into Interior Design.
  4. I'm giving up Mello Yello, well I'm at least not going to try to drink it as much.
  5. Use up all my meal plans, for once.
  6. Spend less money (I feel like this is a goal every semester, but what's the saying "If at first you don't succeed, try again"?)
  7. Learn to say "no"
  8. Become a better time manager
  9. Stick to my everyday workout plan
  10. Write 3 snail mail letters a week
